KAITLYN'S
DESIGNS
Internship: Studio 133
Throughout this internship, I learned how to stay organized, be detail oriented, and learn from mistakes. Creating finish schedules has helped me understand the importance of details and repetition. The more things are repeated, the less likely of a chance to have a mistake. During this internship, I have also worked on creating digital floor plans from hand renderings, creating 3D models from digital floor plans. In addition to learning about the importance of design, I was able to learn about different types of door knobs, light fixtures, electrical outlets, door hinges and more. I was sent to Denver to learn about the Denver Design Center and what would happen when I bring clients into the center to look at furniture and finishes. I was also sent to Ultra Design Center to learn about plumbing and the differences in each finish and The Stone Collection, where I learned about different stones and the way The Stone Collection works.
